Little Simz

Little Simz has announced her sixth album Lotus, set to be released on May 9 via Awal Recordings. At the same time, she unveils the first single Flood, featuring Obongjayar and Moonchild Sanelly. The album title Lotus symbolizes renewal and growth for Simz—a central theme that runs through the album’s musical and lyrical journey, reflecting the complex phases of life.

Little Simz is considered one of the most exciting and visionary artists in the UK—simultaneously a musician, storyteller, and cultural curator. This year she will curate the Meltdown Festival in London, following in the footsteps of superstars such as David Bowie, Yoko Ono, The Queens, and David Byrne. With multiple Brit Awards, MOBO Awards, and an Ivor Novello Award, along with an impressive discography of mixtapes, EPs, and five critically acclaimed albums, her music tells both her own story and that of an entire generation. Her previous album No Thank You, released at the end of 2022.
In 2023, she continued her path as a celebrated actress, returning in the final season of the Netflix drama Top Boy. Her performance on the Pyramid Stage at the Glastonbury Festival in 2024 further cemented her reputation as an outstanding live performer.
