Nitsua
Soul Of The Sky
Originally, nitsua’s latest album was set to be released under Hydeout Productions, led by the late Nujabes. However, during production, Nujabes tragically passed away. Continuing the work with Koizumi Takumi, who managed Nujabes at the time, nitsua went on to release a tribute track under the name Zack Austin in Nujabes' memorial album, followed by his debut album, “dayscape”, in 2015. Comprised mainly of songs created since he was 18, the album stunned many listeners with its depth and talent. Subsequent releases included his collaboration with Marcus D, “EPOC,” and in 2019, he gained further attention by releasing both his second album, “Safety In the Sun,” and “Safety In the Moon” in quick succession. nitsua’s dreamy, gentle soundscapes have garnered a strong following since his debut, and nearly a decade later, his works continue to be beloved by fans. Now, after a five-year break, he is finally releasing his latest album. The opening track, "breeze," gently ushers listeners into his world with a relaxed yet powerful beat and a floating melody. The second track, "psiothurism," wraps listeners in a warm, sparkling world, like sunbeams filtering through trees, with nitsua’s own flute performance adding an extra layer of comfort. As listeners move deeper into the album, they will encounter "slow light on a feather," the pre-released fourth track, and "shadow of a tree," each showcasing unique nuances within a unified, comforting world. The eighth track, "safe ground," is an homage to one of nitsua’s most respected artists, haruka nakamura, specifically inspired by nakamura’s piece "luz" and featuring Linn Mori. The eleventh track, "cliffside bench," showcases nitsua’s flute playing on a larger scale, presenting a slightly different atmosphere, while the final track, "stargazing," paints a beautiful, serene image that represents the deepest, most mystical part of his world. Throughout the album, listeners are invited to journey through a colorful, fantastical landscape, immersing themselves as drifting souls within nitsua’s dreamlike, deeply inviting world. This album stands as a beautiful, otherworldly experience that fully reflects nitsua’s vision.
