✺ Celebrating the 55th anniversary of the TV anime "Lupin III".

✺ Pressed on clear yellow vinyl.

✺ Composed by Yuji Ohno.

✺ Japan import.

The LP “Lupin The 3rd Original Soundtrack 3 Clear Yellow Vinyl Edition,” released on Nippon Columbia, presents the third collection of television soundtracks from the cult series in a colored pressing that underscores the relaxed groove of the material. The selection includes both instrumental pieces and vocal numbers, combining delicate arrangements with striking groove elements.

Musically, the work moves between jazz and funk, with warm horn sections, Rhodes-style keyboard textures, and intricate bass lines defining its core character; the characteristic elements of Yuji Ohno’s jazz-funk style are clearly in evidence here. Several tracks originate from the TV series, and the film theme from “The Castle of Cagliostro” is also included, lending the album additional cinematic nuances.

Standout features are the compositions and arrangements by Yuji Ohno, as well as the performance of Yuji Ohno’s You & Explosion Band, whose precise rhythmic work and clean melodic lines shape the repertoire. Vocal contributions complement the instrumental passages, while the production and technical credits attest to the quality of the studio recordings. For connoisseurs, the yellow pressing offers an archival complement to the classic Lupin releases.
