The “Lupin The 3rd Orignal Soundtrack 2 Clear Pink Vinyl Edition” by You & Explosion Band Yuji Ohno is being released on Nippon Columbia as a colored LP reissue of the legendary series soundtrack, based on the original recordings from 1978. The release brings together the pieces composed by Yuji Ohno that served as accompaniment for the TV series and offers both orchestral motifs and catchy themes.

Musically, the material moves between jazz-funk, fusion, and soundtrack-style cinematic writing: driving rhythm sections, striking brass arrangements, and melodic bass lines shape the tracks. Characteristic of You & Explosion Band Yuji Ohno is the combination of jazzy improvisation with pop-leaning hooks, which keeps the compositions functional both for listeners and for use in a film context.

In addition to Yuji Ohno, numerous musicians of You & The Explosion Band took part in the recordings; the original productions were overseen with the involvement of Nippon Columbia. The clear pink pressing underscores the edition as a collectible variant of the well-known score; this version is listed under catalog number HMJA-240 and EAN 04549767377643.

For lovers of cinematic jazz arrangements and collectors of classic anime soundtracks, the “Lupin The 3rd Orignal Soundtrack 2 Clear Pink Vinyl Edition” offers an aesthetically unusual yet purposefully designed edition of the material that documents the series’ signature sound on a colored LP format.
